The batches function in Akti is an advanced stock function that you can activate in the catalog on article level (so you can activate this only for the articles for which batches are relevant).
When you activate the batches feature, every incoming and outgoing delivery in Akti will ask which batch number has entered or left. You will also be asked what the expiration date of the batch is, if it is about a new batch number.
For outgoing deliveries you will also have to confirm the batch number. For each batch number, a record is kept of which customers have received deliveries of this batch number. So if you have a recall of a certain article, you can easily find out which customers have received this article.
1. If you want to work with batch numbers for certain articles, you first need to search for this article in the catalog and open the article sheet. Then go to the tab "Batches" and check the option "Use Batches".
2. As soon as you have checked this option, you can manually put batch numbers you still have in stock in Akti by clicking on the button "Add Batches".
3. When you click on this button a pop-up will appear, in which you can enter the batch number *, the current stock quantity and the expiration date of the batch. When you click on save, this information will then appear in the list of available batches in the stock.
You can now also use this article in sales orders and deliver articles from the available batch. More info on how to use articles with batches in sales orders can be found here.
